Duke Tower Chosen as “Official Filmmaker Hotel” for Full Frame 2010

We are very pleased to announce that Duke Tower Hotel & Condominiums has been chosen as the “Official Filmmaker Hotel” for the 2010 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, April 8-11, at the Carolina Theatre in Durham, North Carolina.

With Duke Tower only a 15 minute walk to the Carolina Theatre, our hotel makes an easy choice for the organizers. Duke Tower will also be offering a shuttle bus service to and from our hotel to the Carolina Theatre.

Departure times in the mornings will be at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM and in the afternoons at 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

At other times, film goers are welcome to call our shuttle driver at 919-323-1745 to either go to the festival or to be picked up at the Carolina Theatre.

Another reason Duke Tower was chosen was because of the many amenities we offer, such as free high speed internet/WiFi service, our full kitchens and separate living rooms and the overall relaxing ambiance.

Duke Tower is proud to be a supporter of Full Frame, the only international festival of its kind celebrating strictly the power and artistry of documentary cinema.

We hope that filmmakers will take a little time off from their busy schedule to enjoy our large outdoor swimming pool, our beautiful gardens now in bloom or the Historic Tower Cafe.

The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival is an annual international event dedicated to the theatrical exhibition of non-fiction cinema. Each spring Full Frame welcomes filmmakers and film lovers from around the world to historic downtown Durham for a four-day, morning to midnight array of over 100 films as well as discussions, panels, and southern hospitality. Set within a four-block radius, the intimate festival landscape fosters community and conversation between filmmakers, film professionals and the public.

Full Frame’s mission is to support the documentary form and community by showcasing the contemporary work of established and emerging filmmakers and by preserving film heritage through archival efforts and continued exhibition of classic documentaries. The festival is also committed to building wider national and international audiences for documentary film and enhancing public understanding and appreciation of the art form and its significance.

We welcome all filmmakers and attendees to the 2010 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival. We look forward to serving our guests and contributing to make Full Frame 2010 a great festival.
